Baby Hat Free Crochet Pattern

I am excited to share another free pattern! It's been long enough, right? It's a free crochet pattern for a baby hat. The crocheted baby hat pattern is a basic and easy design. It is for a 3-6 month old baby. What's great about it is that it can be embellished in so many ways...add a flower, butterfly, initials, owl eyes, or bear ears like I'm planning on adding to this one!

The free baby hat crochet pattern will work up very quickly for experienced crocheters. It is also a perfect pattern for beginners who might want to crochet more than a square or rectangle and venture on to crocheting in rounds. If you make one, I'd love to know it...and see pictures! :)

Enjoy!

I'm linking up to these fabulous parties!

Mint Green & Grey Fingerless Gloves

crocheted fingerless mittens

Today, I am happy to show two different styles of crocheted fingerless gloves - one that I made and one from my mom.

mint green fingerless mittens

These mint green fingerless gloves are made from acrylic/wool blend yarn and are long enough to cover most of your fingers.

I love the color because it's nice to see a bright color during the 100 days of darkness, which is our name for the shorter winter days.

These cute grey fingerless mittens aren't as bright, but you can't go wrong with grey.

These fingerless mittens are an easy pair to wear and look adorable on anyone. I mean this when I say it because I saw more than a few ladies try them on at two craft fairs I sold at recently (more to come on that). They were my biggest seller!

You can find both of these styles and colors in our Etsy shop, Sunshine Makings.

Organic Cotton Cowl

Organic Cotton Cowl by Sunshine Makings

Here is a new creation crocheted from one of my favorite yarns by Lion Brand - Nature's Choice Organic Cotton. It is a super soft Organic Cotton Cowl. I can't claim credit for this gorgeous cowl, though, because it was made by my mom (jerryandkay).

I've use the same organic cotton for a variety of crochet projects, including a mug cozy (free pattern here), coffee cup sleeve, and baby blanket for my sister who's little boy is just one week old. :)
My favorites are the baby blanket and cowl.

I'm Back...with some Madeline Pattern Info

I know I've been missing for a while...a long while...and here's why. I've decided to take a small step back from blogging. As life continues, the children grow up, and as I'm sure you all know there comes time and time again a moment to evaluate and prioritize a new stage of life. In doing this, I've decided to put blogging a bit lower on my list of priorities. However, please do not think this means that I'm disappearing completely! I'm still creating and will therefore still be sharing on my blog. My posts will probably be shorter and less frequent. My current creations of the moment it are mostly for my Etsy shop and upcoming craft fairs, which I am really excited about and will be sharing about soon!  For now, here is a quick catch up on promised information about the Madeline outfit I made for Sew Many Books...
